one must understand the differtence between lal and mamooty. Lal is an alrounder - give him any role whether it includes acgtion, character, dance, comedy, etc. he will give full justice to the role without any effort. He is one of the few actors in Indian cineme who can do justice to his part in cinema. But mammooty is only good for the character role for whih he will do full credit. A total failure in action and and dance scenes for which his attempts is often hilarious. Only muslim producers/directors and those have a grduge with lal will go for mammooty apart from the character roles. And the vaccum that the lal and mammooty will create cannot be filled any other actors for the time being except perhaps prithivraj and anoop menon. Anyway malayalam film is going to see lot of turmoils in the near future

sorry to tell that. mohanlal lost that alrounder status. he is so poor in acting now a days. all his expressions in all movies is same. this was not the case before. we really lost our mohanlal. Im still watching old movies to see that acting. he is nowadays poorer than mammooty in natural acting.

mental fellow... ur talking in favour of the two rotten pumpmkins of mallu bullu industry.. they are old geese mental fellow...still u wwanna see them act... these mallu bullus will never wake up.. there are in deep slumber i guess... they havent woke upto the present generation

they r not the curse. its the script. not even the directors. its the story and script. blame them.
He is a good actor and above all a good comedian too. However he has some limitation - like he cannot dance or maintain his body so he has fixed roles. His combination with fazzil, priyadharsan was great. Still a good actor!

Watch Kamadalam if U have any doubts regarding his dance...the first actor who appreciated afetr seeing the performance was Kamal Hassan
