The evergreen legend
by chatter on Dec 04, 2011 02:37 PM

There are superstars who are icons for one generation, and are admired by succeeding genrations, but not really icons for them. Dev Anand was an iconic figure for at least two generations of Hindi filmgoers, if not for more. The style, the charisma, the talk, the walk ... these will remain etched in our memories forever. And he brought some very good stories to the screen, and some wonderful talents to the fore in the industry as well. Rest in peace, Dev Sahab, you will remain at a very special place in our hearts.

I feel sorry

I feel very sorry for this man. He has not matured both in his thoughts as well as his movies....For his age and experience he can make path breaking movies... but still in his own world of a boy and a girl going around the tree and singing some nonsense songs etc..And I'm really surprised that he has still fans moving around on this world....
Legendary Actors like Ashok Kumar, Dilip Kumar matured gracefully and played roles which suited there age.

Happy Birthday Sir!

that is because dev anand never considered to be bigger than his existence. He focused on making love movies because thats what he did best. He had respect for people and professions.

though i am a fan of Dev Anand films (old films he acted in), you are right. Dev Anand, the man, never matured, the films he produced are the trite bollywood idiocy.
