its a relief to see akshay gone.. given his antics and drama.. why do we need filmstars in every field .. are shows so handicapped that they can't survive on their own.. i heard saif will be anchoring it now.. which is bad again..
with akshay master chef had a brand. i guess continuing him will attracted audience who watches the show for entertainment. foodies will continue watching the show.
Akshay was doing unnecessary comedy on a cooking show. If they do even half good as current running MasterChef-Australlia, then it will be a great show.

I second you. MasterChef Aus has definitely matured and Season 3 is quite intriguing with genuine cookery-related stuff. A little Drama is part and parcel of any reality show but our people go extreme. And bringing page 3 people and especially Bollywood into these is unnecessary: There are nauseating number of such shows already on TV and we are all searching for a place to hide from the TV itself nowadays! Good luck Vikas and Co.
I think Indian TV needs to shed its inferiority complex. They try to bollywoodize everything and basically degrade themselves. They need to come up with original ideas and create stars out of TV actors. People love bollywood, but they would love TV too if only they come up with scripts like Nukkad, Buniyad etc. Sadly, program quality went down since the TV world moved to Mumbai in 90s.

you are absolutely correct. In India the media behaves as if the only heroes are the one from bollywood and cricket.

well the 1st season they used akshay to launch the show an make it well known, it did well, now they are getting a professional cook. if this dude was in 1st season, it wudn't of attracted audience as cooking show is not really famous tv pro in india.
Vikas khanna,a new smiling face will be a rage amongst the viewers-both young and old.Amust watch show.Looking forward to see how Vikas projects himself.
