he has done nothing noteworthy in the past 10 years. not a single song of his stays in the mind. only his earlier works are still fresh. be it jai ho (over hyped and undeserving of an oscar) or commonwealth games theme song, everything sounds cliched and no new songs or melody could be found. Being in cosmopolitan bangalore i have listened to rahman's songs from the movies like, uzhavan, pudhiya mannargal, duet, sangamam, kizhakku chimayile and a host of his earlier works. but post 2000 he has done nothing noteworthy only that he basking the glory of his oscar award. he has to reinvent himself is he has to regain his lost glory.
