She is the victim of the ultra conservative Indian culture. We were tribal people till late 90's.
Still we are very backward in our mindset though we always like to think that we are traditionally modern.
Sad that anyone has to commit suicide. That she quits and that too after being successful.
Even Sarika was cheated and that too by her own mother. She had 6 flats in the City and she did not know it. She had to leave her home and live in a rented flat. Now she's back to working again and has her kids with her. Lot better situation than others.
I think the mistake Smitha made was taking on debts to make movies, rather than taking on partners or investors.

ITs Rumoured that Kamal HAsan was involved with Silk Smitha during the Sadma time. And some of unit members saw them in Bed Room.
As she had acted many films in a glamarous roles, she could have converted it in a character play as she was found ageing...She was just after the money and she chose very wrong personal life realtionships that made her to take a suicide decision...Pity end to a foolish yet a dream actress..

its easy to tell that to get character role. the problem is who will give that role. she got an image and then she will never get rid of that. especially at that time. if she was in this eram she might b one of the most successful heroin. now a days normal actors shows wat she was showing in her movies

The term "Village" adds pathos to the story. Sometimes Journalists bend syntax for their convenience
