i saw the film this weekend, and i think people have been overcritical. yes, this film caters to an audience with an IQ of less than 10, granted .. but dont most indian/south asians fall in this category ?? the weakest point in this film is SRK. i sometimes think he is his biggest enemy. like most other stars of today, he lacks talent and screen presence, and makes up for it by way of glitz and technology.. what is good about this film are the special effect if not anything else, especially when they show the destruction of VT station. I dont think i can sit thru this film ever again, i was curious to watch this film to know why most theatres were empty even on the second day of its release, and understand if taking the indian audience for granted time and again will work !! overall i should say, if you have nothing better to do, its a one time watch film.
Especially the tenets of superhero films - reason behind origin/genesis, larger than life destructive purpose of the villain, so on and so forth.
Lambasting the writers in almost every part was not that good - they only do what the overall team/unit demands - which is in the best interest of the overall team. So they did good team work.
With promising promos i expected RA.one to be an answer to Hollywood. But Alas!!! what we get is an idiotic mixture of Super hero flicks. Idiotic because indian "programmers" create something which can "learn" by itself. E.g while testing the game SRK wonders the "smile" of RA.One which is not programmed!!!!. RA.one deletes his backup files but leaves his "log files" to bring alive "G.One". on the other we are made to believe G.one can smile, sing, dance and feel pain. I bet SRK would have watched Terminator series only to copy the stunts. Come on we are not "Educating" our children about science. The only saving grace is the car chase sequence involving Kareena Kapoor.
Many indians watch indian films and not aware of hollywood movies. Most of the movies are copied from hollywood. Even RAone which is a copy of green lantern, matrix, batman, superman. If one watches hollywood movies one will understand how backward our movies
business by the movie is awesome - more than 175 Crores in 5 days and counting - this kind of business is possible only with repeat viweing - the producers are happy - the audience is happy - paiso woosol - 2.5 hours pure entertaintment - what matrix and avatar are we talking about - do not see the film if you do not like it - let the others enjoy - I wish I was in India to see the fim - unfortunately this is not getting released here in Vietnam...

agreed hats off to the successful attempt technical effect alongwith SRK what a treat.....
