SRK. The numbers for Shahrukh Khan’s magnum opus RA.One are out and they tell a very interesting tale. Opinions may differ, but numbers don’t lie and the hard fact is that RA.One collected Rs. 26.5 crore across the world on its opening day (including Rs. 18.5 crore in India), beating Bodyguard’s mighty Rs. 21 crore.

Ra.One, Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan's most ambitious project to date, has earned Rs 170 crore in the opening weekend, distributor said.
Produced by Red Chillies and Eros International, Ra.One (released on October 26), grossed Rs 170 crore in first five days. The movie earned Rs 18 crore in India on opening day.
So far, it has raked in Rs 137.25 crore (net collection of Rs 96 crore) in India, and Rs 32.75 crore overseas.
"The film has created history by taking over the mantle of the biggest domestic earner so far. It has touched the highest individual collection in circuits such as Mumbai, Delhi, Punjab and Rajasthan. We see repeat viewings of the movie with the 3-D version being equally sought-after," Nandu Ahuja of Eros International Media Ltd said.
Even before the release, the makers had sold television broadcasting rights, reportedly, for Rs 40 crore, distribution rights for Rs 77 crore, while music rights were bought by T-Series for Rs 15 crore.

The first five day weekend brought Ra.One a tally of Rs 80.3 crores. If comparisons have to be made, Bodyguard's figure was Rs 88.9 crores for five days from Eid on Wednesday till Sunday.
people cant tolerate the extremely low levels of intelligence that SRK assumes his audience to have..no wonder, he makes the most lowbrow movies..ra-one is nothing but a khichdi of a dozen most popular hollywood movies..how can anyone in his senses do that, wen u know that indians follow hollywood movies so much..

Do you know how many hollywood and even-further European movies 3 Idiots was a kichdi of? No? Turning the other way and pretending the world doesn't exist? Thought so. Very convinient indeed. Or maybe you don't think Aamir has any sense in the first place, so why expect it. But SRK, ah that is an intelligent man, and how can he do this.....
i watched it yesterday in tv, after downloading free fromNet! its a worst clubbing copy of terminator, robot,superman with many unethical values where photo of 'condom' was being shown, child actor was using & joking with'condom' word with his mother and many such immatured adult jokes!
i advise not to show such unethical values movie to ur child at least when ur hard earned money is being expent in cinema hall!
now, i was surprised to note that in this child movie(though brainless) also,SRK did not forget to pass his anti-hyndu comment!
once visiting aTtemple for first time, G-one, the robot(SRK played the role)was asking kareena(pratiksMother) that whether she was believing in all these,while trying to join hands together reluctantly for namaskarToBhagwan!
in good sense,there is nothing wrong by anAtheist to ask this question to a believer but how is it possible by a robot who does not have sense anything about believe or non-believe to ask such question! its a sensible question of a human being and was asked quite normally!
so, its intentional and was trying to degrade hyndus belief!
i boycotted any SRKs film since last five years at cinema hall with my money but i do see his movie to know those anti-hyndu matters by downloading free fromInternet! i knew,there must be some sort of anti-hyndu contents in any recent SRK movie!

worst and most uneccessary thing was to act as a tamilian just to attract south audience.. it was an insult and ridiculous for srk to even attempt that so badly.. he could have just been a north indian.. its like rajnikant trying to be malhotra.. one shuld stick to their limitations..no matter how big a star ur;..either do it well or dont

Shah Rukh's caricature as a tamilian does not look attractive, it looks insulting. I wonder why all the bollywood movies when showing a South Indian makes him wear white dhoti and holy ash (Vibuthi) on his forehead. Have you guys ever traveled to South India, if you've been have you seen everyone wearing dhoti and holy ash all the time. In this movie if SRK says he is Tamilian, is he trying to make you laugh by speaking Hindi as a South Indian? If so he should have spoke at least one word clearly in Tamil, and the other guy who acted as his neighbor he overacts than SRK thinking it is funny, it may be funny for Hindi speaking audience but it is not a good comedy to insult the language of others. It means lack of imagination. More over this movie could have been better entertainer but unfortunately it is not.
