Illayathalapathy Vijay: The new Rajinikanth of Kollywood
For people who didn’t know that celebrities are looked upon as demi-gods, the incident that took place on Dickenson Road yesterday is proof enough. The launch of a jewellery store saw Kollywood superstar Illayathalapathy Vijay visiting the city on Saturday morning. If you think that only stars like Amitabh Bachchan or Rajinikanth can witness such fan frenzy, this one seemed to have challenged them all!

Vijay answers to a question on special programme to be aired on Jaya TV:
Why don’t you promote your films aggressively?
I hate to speak or praise my film before the release. I want my fans and audiences to go to the theatre without much expectation and get entertained. I hate to blow my own trumpet saying that my film will satisfy you and blah blah.. I have been getting a lot of positive feedback of the trailer and audio. Now after release, I’m sure that the visual impact of songs will satisfy the audiences.

Madhurey, ATM were big hits. Kuruvi and Villu were average grossers. Sachein ran for 175 days.Udhaya was a good movie but unfortunately didn't do as well as expected. Velayudham will be the biggest blockbuster of 2011. I agree on others.

Madhurey was successful and was a hit... Otherwise the whole list is true except for Velaayudham which has the makings of being a hit if not more...

Dude, Cinema is an entertaining medium and is strictly a commercial thing. It does not matter how well u act. It requires u to satisfy all stake holders which Kamal can ever do and which Vijay does with remarkable consistency. To "show off" ur "gr8" acting skills, kindly do theatre, don't come to movies......FYI kamal has acted in more than 200 movies out of which 175 have bombed!!!!!!!!1

Vettaikaran was a hit and FYI both these movies were marketed by Sun pictures whereas Velayudham is not. They could have opted to promote 7am arivu,Y did they opt for Vijay's flick? Think dude. Don't blabber.

Vettaikaran was a sick movie yaar. The director was clueless what to say in the movie. After watching this movie thought never to watch Vijay's movie in theater. Watch only by downloading thru torrent, that too, if I hear it is atleast good. Also not to waste money.

You have to think Dude...Sun TV want to ensure Velayudham to be a flop and show in their channel as soon as possible...to remind you they don't mind losing money as they are filthy rich b@$t@^ds!!
Re: Re: Mega flop star
by chappathi on Oct 20, 2011 03:24 AM
Given the current political change in TN, if Jaya TV shows Velayudham trailer it may survive... Sun TV is showing the trailer to ensure it to become a flop!! ...ethu puriyalleaya chinna payya?

Re: Remake Hero
by karthiksubbu on Oct 19, 2011 03:19 PM
Everyone does remakes, the idea is to entertain which Vijay has been doing remarkably well for the last 20 odd years.
