If Rajnikant and ShahRukh can be India\'s biggest stars, then Ranbir, Vivek, Hritik and Emran Hashmi can be too. And while it may involve untold fortune, the fame would be limited to a population that is not particularly known for its appreciation of cinema, acting or art. It would be like a one eyed King in a kingdom of the blind. If Ranbir aspires to be India\'s greatest actor ever (rather than star), he would have to go up against greater legends like Guru Dutt and Dilip Kumar and his chances are bleak at best. My personal opinion is that Ranbir, like Hritik and Vivek before him, has a long way to go. Kapoor or no Kapoor, you never know what clicks - the Indian film industry is a funny place. Great films go bust here and stupid ones make blockbusters. Great actors such as Pankaj Kapoor, Irfan Khan (remember Ek Doctor Ki Maut) never get the recognition they deserve while the likes of Jeetendra and Erfan Hashmi make big stars. Kumar Sanu wins five consecutive filmfares while Manna Dey struggles to find work. Anu Malik becomes a leading music director while R D Burman get sidelined by dimwits such as Subhash Ghai. Sukhvinder has to wait for Chayya Chayya because people don\'t remember his brilliant singing years earlier in Khilaf and Kurban (sic). Amitabh, who is a great actor, is made a superstar due to success of films that lack story, script and logic and are pathetically amateurish (Saudagar was an exception but it flopped).
