This singer of silky velvetty voice is no longer amongst us but the music created by him will continue to enthral music lovers for long. May his soul rest in peace.
This is a really worst day in Indian music, he has changed many lives indirectly through his voice, my favorite is Zuki Zuki si Nazar great voice and dard.
I still remember the days when I first heard Jagjit Singh in late 70\\\'s when my father had brought LP record of his first album\\\" The Unforgattable\\\". Later, all my family members started liking him. I used to save money by selling old papers and kabad things of the house just to buy his latest relesed cassettes.When my father died in 95, it was his songs which used to echo in our house and everybody used to listen in grief, \\\" Gulshan ki fakqat phoolon se nahi, kato se bhi jeenat hoti hai, jine ke liye is duniya me, gam ki bhi jarurat hoti hai,\\\" I moved to Mumbai in 2003, and thought many a time to his concerts but always stuck in some thing or the other, now he is no morw and all old memories again came in my mind, How I had travelled 10 kms on my bicycle to get the cassette of \\\" someone somewhere\\\" in 90\\\'s.
