for us Darshan fans ..our prayers have been answered..we have been doing to fasting since our Challenging Star has been in jail..we have given up to smoking and drinking...today we are going to do full majaa full celebration..will see Sarathy three times again duirng weekend..

How ridiculous is that ??? Fasting for an actor ? Giving up smoking and drinking for an actor ?? You should give up smoking and drinking for your own betterment . What is wrong with the people from South ? Why do they worship actors ? Sometime back when Mohanlal and mammooty were raided by IT officials there was a dharna outside the IT office and some officials were even assaulted . It turned out that both actors had misrepresented their earnings and agreed to pay their due taxes finally .
Can anyone please explain why are actors worshipped in south . Whats wrong ? Are there not enough Gods in our country already that you want to add more ?

Hello, Dont take things all togther in a different way.
We respect and love arts and cinema, we dont get into personal lifes of actors who they do etc etc.
Infact, - Salman killed people on footpath using his SUV -Sanjay dutt was caught for killing his own people in mumbai blast -SRK tries to paly religion/secular card
Will you be able to make them come to the right path of life and later see their movies ??

LAW IS DIFFERENT FOR differentt income group people i suspect there are thousand of prioseners in india who are put behind the bar but can not afford to pay lawyers fees hence stay inside jail for months/years?

I would rather watch his movie and don't care about his personal life . If he has done something wrong he will be punished by the law of the land . As was the case with Salman and Sanjay Dutt .
But nobody went on a fast for them to come out of trouble . atleast not in mumbai .
You did not get my point and as usual started arguing without getting a sense of my question . My question is simple : Why are Actors worshipped so madly in South ?? Be it TN , AP ,Kerala or Karnataka . Is there a reason ?? Why do you need to worship a professional who is working hard to earn a decent living ?? No one worships Amir Khan , Shahrukh Khan or Mr Bachchan though their fans love them but definitely not to the extent the people from South of our country can go . Why do you need to build a temple for actors ?? Just enjoy their work and move on in life .

there's nothing to be reduculed. ther's a phsycologic reason behind this. up north, ppl dont trust each other, bcs most of them are cheaters, looters etc. be it film star, politicians or common ppl. ppl pull other's legs to dominate. but in southern states, there's still a trust and ppl think at least the actors are role models. they related themselves to the movies of that actor bcs most of the movies are made to suite to their local place. now tell me, how many movies they made in north related to theier local place or culture. most of thier movies are shooted outside india. that's why there's no bonding. in this particular case, Darshan had personal issue and his wife hastingly went public. we all love his movies though. just wach his latest flick 'Sarathy' and am sure u will too become a fan of him too..
