A legend is a person who lives in your heart when his soul leaves his body. This person was one of such great person in his own and especially in my opinion. This article rightly pointed out how the younger and not so younger generation of people Assam feels about Dr. Bhupen Hazarika. We are yet to know all about this life and works. A few months ago, I came to know that this person did his Doctorate in Mass Communication from Columbia University in his early years where he innovated this unique way to communicate with the mass using his songs and music, and here we go, he became a legend. His works set the trend for people of entire eastern India to show, perform and excel in whichever form of art or culture he belongs. He was the one of the greatest person the people of Assam lost. With folded hands and mist eyes I salute you Bhupenda!.
Bharat Ratna for India's Bhupen da which has been long overdue...he should have got it long back...but it's better late than never even though posthumously...not only because he was a musician...but because of national integration...because he was a symbol of unity for the Indian nation...i am saying this even though i am not an Assamese
