bollywood menace
by balagaura on Nov 08, 2011 02:55 PM

Please understand that these bollywood menace is the problem for all that is happening. I mean the movies which they take influence these young minds so much so that in real life they try these stunts on the roads thinking them to be real heroes. But life is not so cheap to be given for these causes. Rather these bolywwod criminals should stop acting in these type of roles to influence young minds and spoil their life .Please do movies that can bring a substantial change in the society with values added in it and not half naked dances with some absurd morals.

Oh yes ... people like you going to pubs and clubs to b00ze and dance, in the night, are civilized and those who sleep early and get up at sunrise are indecent and uncivilized. I cannot find fault with you for saying that, but it's the effect of the environment in which you were born and brought up :)

@Ajit. Absolutely right. Women should also dress responsibly. Indecent elements are everywhere, so we have to guard against this.

stop blaming the victims, it's not their fault that some idiot cant control his urges. instead of aspiring to live in a society that people can walk where ever they want without any fear you are giving the idiots an excuse to behave lewdly. and if you see the rape statistics it doesnt matter what you dress up as you can go in a burqa and still be raped

How long are you going to deceive yourself by saying all these things? You can't change the human nature by "aspiring" to live in utopia. That's not going to happen ever, anywhere in the world, period. Hence, I'd say that it's better to take preventive measures that reduce the chance of becoming a victim.

Ajit is right. It's not about blaming the victims but taking precuations. Everything said and done, India in particular is not a safe country at night. If you expose yourself to the dangers, the risk is high too.

yeah right, people dress whatever they want in the west and if what you say is right then they should have a higher rape rates than us but guess what?? we beat them in that aspect so you see its's not what you dress as , it is prompt punishment and better policing that reduces them not conservative dressing, thats just another way of the male dominated society to control every aspect of a women's life.

You are comparing apples with oranges. A typical western man or woman has many to many relationships with each other, for multiple temporary periods of time, before deciding to settle down with one partner. Also, pr0st1tut10n, which is the worst form of exploiting a woman, is encouraged and a thriving industry, in the west. Hence, you cannot really compare our country with western societies. If that is what you call a perfect society that you aspire to live in, you are welcome to settle down there. But let me tell you that we can't stop these crimes against women even in those liberal societies.

really? you think there is no tricks in India, we have the highest number call girls in India and the appalling thing is half of those are underage ,i dont want to live in an utopia i want to live in a world where women have basic security without being judged for what they wear or how they decide to live their lives.yes i cant compare our country to west because they are much better than us they actually follow through when they talk about human rights and freedom.we just keep harping on how cultured society we are all the while women are subjected to the most horrific of crimes from rape to dowry deaths.and i am settling down in the west but as an Indian i will always hope that India will atleast come half way in realising the lofty ideals it calims it represents, thank you

mr. ajit kamble, i dont know if i should feel sad for you and the way you think, or just leave it thinking that India has its share of mentally stunted people who take upon themselves to judge others based on what they wear, and what they do. You must be one perfect individual to actually think that crime against women happens because women ask for it.

also mr. Kamble, life is the west is no more decadent than it is in India. in the west the crime rates are much lower than it is in India, the only thing is that most crimes are not reported, making it impossible for most indians to even think of justice. If we are such a perfect nation, and superiour to the west, why is India still a third class nation, with most of the population not having access to toilets and clean drinking water, why has India not build one world class structure or a road or a monument post independence, why is the standard of living so pathetic that many educated people aspire to go outside to get he basics in life for themselves .. if u can please answer these questions, you probably will also be able to justify rape against women who dont wear our version of modest clothing.

Do you have the guts to then say that you support what Taliban did in Afghanistan and want Shariat to be applied in India as well.
I am sure you will criticize anything that Taliban does, but would want almost same here. Hypocrite.
