I havent weighed his head. I am quite sure it will be heavy as it is filled with creative music. Just bcos ARR is a devout muslim does not make him light headed.
Chennai has 2 outstanding music directors. ARR & ilayaraja. both graduated from London. Ilayaraja even got the gold medal. shREYA & Sadana sargam regularly sings in Tamil not to mention shankar mahadevan. chennai is the cultural capital of India.

too much.. all wrong data.. they didnt graduate from London, they graduated from London school of music, which has a branch in Chennai..
Sukanya how much did ARR pay you to write this stupid article. ARR is a mediocre music composer and no way near to the great RD Burman. ARR has a few hits which are copied from Korean and other alien languages to India. His music is monotonous and and off late very boring.

I agree.. R D Burman had distinctive style and different rhythm.. Offcourse He has also copied some tunes but he moulded them in his own style. Not only western but he has also given some classical compositions in the movies like Amarprem, Mehbooba, Kudrat, Shubhkaamna.. and excellent original background scores as well..

r.d burnman is a stupid music director, copying all songs, didn't give a single original tune plus his harsh hoarse voice yuck that was such an irriation, looks like he was singing from asha bhosle's rear end.

oh,cut the crap!y r u fighting over the talent & hardwork of other ppl...pls dont take on any regional clashes....v r all indians ..u only must realise that punjabi music lost its glory with the repitition of the same tunes over years....a.r.r can be best appreciated for his humility atleast rather than the bollywood show-offs,who always think & talk of themselves......and for ur information im not a tamilian either...u pls check on ur reality

RD stole more songs than anybody. In that time there was no internet or media , so it was difficult to find it out. Now pritam's and Annu malik get naked immediatly.

Even Rahman took a lot of compositions. From Quiet man for Roja to Dave Matthews Band - #27 for Vinnithandi varuvaaya. He just cleverly adjusts music because of youtube. They're all great in my opinion so chill.

Music has only 7 ragas...u ought to come across some tunes with resemblances....i have heard both...and the resemblances are very thin....that cant b taken as a copy...but y u never see the absolute copycats of his music in other languges which are also in the same youtube only.......????
Ravi Prasad Music is bettter and melodious than AR RAHMAN. Rahman is pampered music director as (his name is popularised like hike in shares). In fact his music has NO MELODY. He give more importance to playing different instruments but NOT to TAAL and RAAG. Also defferent screechings and vocal sounds are included in smooth music.
But new generation has limited ability to understand and therefore they enjoy AR Rahman
