No use with knee jerk reactions.

Racial features cannot be hidden and will not become less stark just because those features are not talked about !

And the racial features of 'stars' will not change one bit just because of hype generated about them !

What is wrong or special about to mention it?
Are you still in slave mentality where you think white = King and Black or brown=slave?

Not at all. Forget about my mentality.

I am referring to the mentality of the great majority of Indians who think that white = King and Black or brown = slave !!

And I am also referring to the very palpable fact that despite such worship of the white skin and worship and aping of the ways of the westerners, the westerners hardly are aware about the existence of India and Indians ! So inconspicuous have Indians managed to become despite being large enough to be one-sixth of humanity !!

Rajinikanth Hospitalisation
by pradeep menon on May 28, 2011 10:48 AM

Rajinikanth is a super star a hero of the masses all fine and he has also done great movies early in his career giving solid performances...Movies like Mullum Malarum,Aval Appadithan,16 Vayathinile etc...and then he becomes the commercial hero of the masses...loved by the old as well as a huge fan following among kids...that is his charisma...but now Rajinikanth should realize though he is a huge star..he is getting old ...and whatever you try your age will show on your face...he should take role WHICH ARE MORE SUITED TO HIS AGE WITH GOOD SUBJECTS ,INSTEAD OF RUNNING AROUND TREES WITH HEROINES YOUNGER THAN HIS DAUGHTER ...FINE HIS LAST MOVIE WAS A SUPERHIT WITH aSH...BUT ASKING DEEEPIKA TO ACT OPPOSITE HIM AND DESPERATELY TRYING TO LOOK YOUNG OPPOSITE HER IS THE LIMIT...nO WONDER ALL THAT LOSS OF WEIGHT HAS AGGRAVETED HIS HEALTH.

Rajini is better in acting than all of these actors, if u watch his early films u defiantly will agree my point, only the actor can suit for any type of character.

I never critisize Rajani
He is great showman
But Kamal and lal better in acting than anyone
AB is lucky to get 3 national awards , ( which all he won after a close final round contest with mohan lal or Mammotty)

Mohan lal , Kamal Are the best
by pradeep nair on May 24, 2011 11:14 AM  | Hide replies

Mohan lal , Kamal Are the best
AB more popular bcz of Hindi language more popular and most of people know.
but AB nothing infront of Lal and Kamal whn its come to natural acting.

How can say AB is an actor who in every film wearing only suitings , living in banglaw, same look , same styles.

lok at kamal and mohan lal films and see the variety as per their roles in films.

very well said. Pradeep is a case of a person who doesnt grow at all. He is stuck in his adoloscent age... He thinks only kamal is the best actor... There are so many talented actors than this so-called actor who has failed to give one good movie in the last 20 years... he is living in his past shadows...He would again counter argue that dasavatharam, virumandi and the Anbe sivam et al as good movies... But he doesnt accept that they were only good for kamal's fans as they just was presuming it to be good...when the audience had totally rejected the same... let him live in his own well and think that its the ocean...who are anyway to demean his

TO THE GREAT KAMAL FANS
by pradeep nair on May 24, 2011 11:09 AM  | Hide replies

TO THE GREAT KAMAL FANS

1. Kamal Haasan himself has said that' Its amazing how Mohanlal does classical dance without learning it technically.

Youtube "Kamaladalam". If u want to watch him dancing.
By the way this has nothing to do with the theme of he poll.

2.Mohanlal: 30 years is enough for Mohanlal to prove his talent.

3. Can Kamal Haasan do the roles Mohanlal has done in Vaanaprastham, Bhramaram, Bharatham,Devasuram,Dasharatham,Sphadikom,Manichithrathazhu(chandramukhi original),Kireedom(Ajith's Kireedom original),Thenmavin Kombathu(Muthu original)....and the list goes on.

4. Mohanlal has 2 national awards and one special jury mention and u know one thing he has the record for coming to the National Awards final rounds maximum number... a whopping 10 times.

5. Tamil film industry Canvas is very large(both population and market), but here in Kerala a superstar film releases on an average of 80 theatres. The whole population of Kerala should watch a Mohanlal movie 3 times to break Dashavathaaram,s record.

My friend....your shortsightedness on comparison is quite clear....i understand and belive lal is a great actor..and the movies you hav listed here are all classics..agreed...but am sure anyday Kamal haasan will fit into any of these role quite easily...or maybe even better them...i have watch both these people movies for 35 yrs now...tell me can ever Lal do a Guna or a aboorva sagodharargal or moondram pirai or nayakan or a dashaavataram ( for its sheer hardwork on the roles and make up..if not the for movie itself) or can Lal match movies like avvai shanmughi...or even micheal, madana kama rajan..for the sheer characters he has enacted...the diff in style.can u tell one movie where Lal has done 2 roles....i can list a lot...and see whats Lal doing these days....poor show...Kamal is just trying to climb higher...with re creation...still i hav to say Lal is indeed a class actor...for his acting...not for creativity when compared to this legend..

these both respect each other well.

National awards are at best a Joke... dont give more weightage to such awards...If you like a movie just like it... why do you expect others the so-called jury(4-5 members who dont know your language your culture) to appreciate your likings... National awards are at best a Farce...

It is so funny to decide caste and breed from the nativity. Aryan and dravidian breeds are so mixed up that you will find black skin people in north and white people in south. So maharashtrians or even punjabis can be dravidians and tamilians contain aryan race.
Whatever be the color and race, being human and gentle is the most important thing.

Some of the Fans spoke to the media on Rajanikant's Hospitalisation and told that they will sacrifice there lives as well as there families for getting Rajinikant back from the Hospital. I want Rajinikant the popular actor to issue statement to his fans to concentrate on there life and also dissolve his fans association for betterment of the society once he is back from the Hospital

Do you really think they will sacrifice?? Thise who made those statements are members of his fans association whom rajni kanth regulary provides funding for. And obvioulsy there will be competition between various associations so the association which shouts the loudest gets more funds....atleast thats what they think. Thats the reason they build temples too for the same reason that politicians build roads/dams to knock off some money from the side.
