Hey South Indian FAN, you are telling him 'Illiterate', but you have used 'a' article, instead of 'an'. means you should say 'an illiterate'. Now.. think.. one more thing, a south star could won the award this time, bcz Amitabh Bachchan was not there in the competition.. :)
Human consciousness is growing. indian still like fantasy, overa acting, over drama film. no wonder we have dirt and chaose all over. we have jombie walking on our street. its time for big b to change that. make only realistic movie. not old song with lots of drum and bass. that take u in fantasy. but song with simple realistic wording thats easy on our head. leave us in present moment. not fill our head with garbage and agitate it.

Looks like you are suffering from some sort of complex....Grow up man.......BIGB (post 2000) already worked in realistic movies and not just fantasy...have a look on RANN, BLACK, VIRUDHH, THE LAST LEAR, AETBAAR, TEEN PATTI, KHAAKEE etc.....Even the vintage amitabh (70s and 80s) was part of the movies like Anand, Mili, Abhimaan, Namak Haraam, CHupke chupke, Main AZaad Hun, Saudagar, Majboor, Bemisaal, kABHI kABHI etc...Wtach those movies and then talk

manoj kumar ji, which film industry in world does not make drama, fantasy movies? ever heard of pirates of caribbean, harry potter, transformers?
ppl. like u will never be happy. pls get some life. let other ppl. enjoy their lives if u cant.
In compare to all his roles,Deewar is representing the role of real anger against misuse of power which is representation of common Man's Anger and explosion for getting his Rights and degnity back though the end of such route is an expected...But gives massage to both & make people think over it.
His style is unique but there was no versatality. You can not differentiate between any of the characters mentioned in the above list. You take amit from Mard & put in coolie no difference.

@ABHIJEET,
The article only talks about Angry young man image of amitabh.......It doesnt talks about the various genres of movies that he has worked in.......If the article was titled as "Amitabh in Comic roles" then you would hvae seen movies like CHUPKE CHUPKE, SATTE PE SATTA, NAMAK HALAAL, DO AUR DO PAANCH, MR NATWARLAL, HERA PHERI etc...If it was titled "Amitabh in romantic movies", then you would have seen titles like KABHIE KABHIE, SILSILA, KASME VAADE, CHEENI KUM, NISHABD, BAGHBAAN etc...Now dont tell me that you found him same in every movie

These are one set of roles which became extremely popular in 70s because it had realistic significance those days in india and therefore AB was stereotyped. About versatility, we have saudagar, amar akbar antony, Mili, Chupke chupke, black, bade miyan chote miyan; not all of them squarely accepted, but the skill shows. But i would accept, in terms of versatility, Amir Khan is probably nose ahead.
