AWARD TO DABBANG????
by simbu on May 23, 2011 03:08 PM

How could Rediff tile ‘Dabbangg bags National Award?
Dabbang is neither selected as the best film nor even the best Hindi film. Both these awards went to some well-crafted movies by good directors.
It would have been befitting if Rediff had titled ‘Adaminte Makan Abu bags National Award’ since that was the best movie chosen.
Dabbang is only the best entertaining movie which definitely stands behind the other graceful movies the jury has selected as the very best.
Improper, pacifying promotions through amateurish titles lessen the credibility of Rediff.

to see Kollywood is getting good appreciation.
But how long we can be No:2 industry in India and satisfied with this fact?
Now Kollywood has to go beyond Indian movie world circle. IF Iranian movies are getting appreciation around the world with low budget, why not we? Here people are commenting Tamil movies are regional, for your information, Tamil movies are released in more than 40 countries in the world directly. In some countries dubbed version of their local languages. Kollywood has market potential, so they should use this fact and start producing world class movies. We should also find and give international stars like A.r.Rahman.

Congratulations to all other non-Tamil movies (irrespective of the languages) for achieving this golden foot.

by delguy on May 23, 2011 07:15 AM

Be it language, culture, releigion, whatever, they have only one agenda. If Hindi film wins, cages of most of non-Hindi will be rattled. Is there anything that is common among Indians, none.

Hindi is NOT the national language of this country
by howudoudo on May 21, 2011 06:46 PM  | Hide replies

Constitution of India has no concept of national language. Instead India has 22 Official languages, all ranking on par with each other.

So why call Hindi films national films while non-Hindi films regional? Are regional citizens not national too? Stop this Hindi hegemony at once!

i agree with you...i wish some politicians have the brains to call hindi as regional language in parliament, so that it gets noticed all over and people will start using national in india..nowhere in the world is this separation of nationla and regional...this country suckkkks and is only full of shiiiit...especially f...ing north indians who dont even bathe daily and who are proud to admit that it is common in india for dogs to shit inside olympic buildings..

i think we should start protesting the use of the word "national" in this country... if there is any petition or way or getting this idea into the stupid politicians mind, i think we should proceed with it..
