As a Tamilian, I felt very much proud while watching this excellent movie. Our young directors and artists have broken the myth that has been sorrounding the Kolliwood and has proved that good storylines and acting talents are available with us in plenty. How beautifully, the camera has captured the nice locales in Tamilnadu. How realistic were the stunt scene. The director has simply told the characters to engage themselves in fight keeping in mind the objectives of their characters. Hats off to the team. The old woman talking all irrelevan things to the fund raising team and later on briefing the purpose of the team's visit was a nice decent enjoyable comedy. Each and every actor deserves great appreciation from all cinema lovers for their remarkable performance. I am sure, that his would/should earn multiple awards from film loving academies.
Pavithra proves yet again that she has a hollow-head beyong doubt. The movie is worse than the plays staged by class 5 students. One won't find much difference between 'Mama Maaple' on Sun tv and this piece of crap. The director Suseendran has forgotten film making after his near-perfect 'Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu'. Shame on Pavithra!
village activities brought in silver screen in 150 mins show.If like these movies comes in tamil cinema no one will go to see their village.Great Photography.All scenes are almost realistic.Compared to other tamil cinemas in recent time this one is the best. i thought of going to see my village but after watching this movie i cancelled my ticket too.

hello, be realistic. its a good movie with relatively less entertainment value (at least not to the level of 3.5 stars). if u want to encourage these movies, shout at the govt to give tax-free.
unfortunately, now people taste is different. i dont know how people will enjoy this movie. i sat there in the movie, i understand the genuine-ness of the movie. but i think our minds are spoiled by the masala movie. and difficult to digest, saranya mohan saying she will die if the ugly hero does not come back. but the young pair did very good job. so, if u say, the critics want to encourage such movies, so they given 3.5 stars. then i accept. but if u guys think that this movie will be better than 3 star movies, expect the disappointment

Movie I yet to watch, but there seems some problem in your view 'Ugly Hero" It says your nature of viewing people. Do you find in all walks of like you get all beautiful womem marries only Handsome guy. Get your facts right, hope you to have lot of friends and might not all be Good looking, Good looking has to be only from with in your heart.. Take care buddy. No offence please...

dont live in hypothetical world. be realistic. people commit suicide, if the lady with whom a guy was romancing in mobile phone-when he saw her live, he was so disappointed and ran on the train track.

Excellent Movie. Definitely this will be a "Cult Classic" Movie. Tamil Cinema deserves movie like this..
Impeccable Score by Ilayaraja, who always stands apart from the Street Composers. "Kuthikkira Kuthikkira Kuthirakutti" is simple and unconventional. Great Composition by the Greatest Composer..

Not a problem.Such simple and classic movies are far better than the mediocre Hollywood movies like Slumdog millionaire or True Grit. Marketing the movie on a global level does not mean it is great.Anyway Azhagarsamyin Kuthirai certainly has Ilayaraja which is more than enough. Nandhalala was a class which is itself enough to prove Ilayaraja is above any awards like Grammy or oscars
