10 yrs goin to cannes..nt a single time has she worn a gr8 traditional saree...to represent inida in t int fest one has to show our costume too atlst once....bad bad..nys as it is shes pale n wrinkled...lukn old
Aishwarya finally got the colors & designer right this time(NOT THE OUTFITS) but she looked like a lovely 45 yr retired lady.It was funny.Mallika in the black lace was no better. It was like a school fancy dress competition, really sad and embarrassing.Sonam was lovely though. The two ladies need an Indian designer who can flatter them and they are so many of them.

Agree 100% with your words. But can be pardoned as this is pure show business & as long as she is in demand, let her make some money.
While every other country has several prestigious and well made films competing in the Cannes film festival, India the world's largest movie producer is represented only by Aishwarya Rai, Sonam Kapoor and Freida Pinto. Furthermore none of them are acting in any movies at the festival, they're just brand ambassadors for L'oreal.
It would be nice to see the day that an Indian film is actually in competition for the Palme D'Or.
