not that i am an ardent Aish fan, but the photographer has to be in front not the ones at the back who could be seen in the photo.

Look more closely at the photos and bring in whatever perspectives you can manage to find out how many of those cameramen are clearly focussed on Aishwarya !

There are several celebrities (in fact, hundreds of them) crowding the Cannes ramps and red carpets and there are far too many of their own centres of attention that hold the interest of western cameramen for them to bother about alleged 'celebrities' from the dark worlds ! (this is the remark made in an internet blog by an Indian living in France)

Racial features truly are indelible !
by piri on May 13, 2011 02:00 AM  | Hide replies

Racial features are so cast in the genes
that even the fairest among Indians (like Aishwarya Rai), despite heavy make up and use of all the cosmetic wizadry that modern technology and money power can command, cannot fully hide their 'dravidian' (or Indian racial features, to be more politically correct) features !

Witness how her segmented thick lips have come into full view in one of the pictures !!!

And look how Rediff (or the agency that took these photos) has laboured to try and make it appear that most of those cameramen are having their eyes and lenses on Aishwarya ! If examined carefully, it can be seen that very few of them - if at all - are looking at her or intending to take her snaps ! The numerous others who are very obviously in the photoframes of those cameramen have been carefully edited out of these photos !

Indian features are always not "dravdian". There are Indians with aryan features too. It a mix in India. So dont classify Indian as pure dravidian features.

But almost every 'dravidian' who has pretensions to being a 'celebrity' still chooses to desperately, frantically and labouriously hide those features and make them look somewhat similar to caucasian ones !

What an irony !

You are one of the millions who are completely carried away by what the Indian media chooses to project.

For a change, just log in to some US, British news reports about Cannes (over several years) and see how much presence Indian personalities have there !

Or, better still, talk to some Indians (if you can find them) who live in France to find out how much coverage 'Bollywood' and its 'celebrities' are given in French media coverage about the Cannes film festival !

Wisdom will then dawn on you.

Not sure when exactly we started feeling proud about these s1 uts and b tches. I'm really amazed by the glamor surrounding anything that these westerners market or propose. They would even make you pay hundreds for eating their "you know what" that comes in an attractive package.

And Longines commercials have no less than 34 high profile celbrities doing duty for them at present !

Aishwarya is just one in a long series of exceptions they make for the large immigrant community present in the west. This long series includes many from Latin America, China, Japan, Philippines, even Morocco and Ethiopia !

Some consolation that !
