V from V for Vendetta - The years he spent planning the revolution :-)

Klaatu from The Day The Earth Stood Still.

The Martian Ancients from Mission to Mars.

The aliens who made first contact in Close Encounters of the third kind

The father figure alien in Contact

All these are hanging, open-ended stories that can be taken anywhere - including a 4-5 movie series *each*.

Also, anything starring Bill Murray in the lead role is awesome. Total light-headed entertainment.

Does anyone know of an *Indian* science fiction discussion group online?

Just curious whether Indians living in India actually discuss scifi in depth like the Americans do.
