Genelia did the original Telugu flick and was awesome. Comedy by Brahmanandam and others did wonders to this movie. I am really doubtful if any of the actors can even match up to what it was in telugu.
Talking of which, Telugu movies probably have the best comedians among all the Indian movies - Brahmanandam, Sunil, Ali, MS Narayana...the list is countless and the immense contribution that these people make to the eventual value of any film is often ignored. Have seen so many movies went on to become blockbusters because of these guys.

Telugu comedy is top notch. Though some directors include some obscene comedy scenes here n there, but most of the films are perfect laugh riots. Blessed are Telugu audience. Comedians, themselves, have made many films boxoffice hits.

second that dude!! Haven't come across so many talented comedians in other industries. Wish there was a national recognition of some sort for this set of ppl..

and i third that. comedy is very good in telugu movies it seems natural. They don't mimic someone's accent and put any state down. It's fun and good. i really enjoy telugu movies.
