Asin is good
by ajj35@rediffmail.com on May 10, 2011 10:32 PM  | Hide replies

Being a Keralite she speaks fluent Hindi. The first time I saw Ghajini I was sure her voice was dubbed. This lady just swooped me off my feet with her gorgeous eyes and expression on screen. She is way better than Katrina,Deepika, Kangana. She is very much in the same league as Karina,Priyanka & Sonam. Atleast she can act.

asin better over many
by Answer on May 10, 2011 08:35 PM

Katrina, sonam, deepika prospering due to glamorous image.

Now take katrina alone even after working so many years she just can not act. Single expressions to express all expressions is not acting.

Hence Asin is way better then many other actresses then her contemperories...

Meaningless drivel!
by shiva on May 10, 2011 07:58 PM  | Hide replies

The modern Indian movie is for the brainless, who want cheap entertainment. The actresses have no meaningful roles and the actors make a fool of themselves in the name of entertainment. But the biggest fools are the public but they do get some cheap time pass. If we are satisfied with such fare, then nothing to complain about.

I have seen Sri Devi really acting but how do her modern counterparts compare? Are they allowed to? In Tamil films, we have Rajnikant getting away with roles that can be relished only by his diehard fans.

Gone are the days when heroines had meaty roles. Now they are just dolls, dolled up and nothing more. We get cheap entertainment and that is about it. Why should intelligent girls like Asin complain when she can get crores by just rousing the feelings of men? Just forget it for people like me who have seen some real films of yester years. Sorry, I cannot stand most which ravages my brain! Am I an exception? Tell me!

well said, i am with you. Cinema is no more an art with artists performing. It is a show business with glamour, and skin show, songs and dance(would you even call it dance) and a script thrown in just for the heck of it. Indian movies are like india's population. We have the highest number of movies produced in the whole world but when it comes to real good ones which are of quality it is not more than a handful. People just dont have the patience or appreciation for good cinema. They just want fast food. And I am amazed they pay a few hundred rupees every weekend for crp like this.

Remake. By All Means.. But Don't Plagiarise!
by Ratan on May 10, 2011 07:53 PM

Why is that these people who justify remakes don't make the distinction between remakes and copies?

If you are re-making a movie, then you not only pay the priginal creators/ producers but also ackknowledge the same in the credits.

Anees Bazmee, the shameless copycat in the past has done neither of the above, and of late, although says that the remake rights have been bought from the producer, still never credits the original writer/ director.

It remains to be seen who is credited for story-screenplay the Hindi version of Ready.

Next in line for Anees - yet another copy of a Telugu flick - 'Kick'!

Have seen any Deepika Padukone's movie?
