You may find Indian horror films crappy, but others may not. However, 'All are nuts' because they don't share your tastes in horror movies is a bit cliched, don't you think.
BTW, horror as a genre, is extremely tough, especially with passing time. As we, as a people, get more and more cynical, its even tougher to scare them. As our lives become more and more urbanized, we identify less & less with dark spaces & other so called sources of horror, in our flourescent night lives.
I digress here a bit, but I remember seeing Entity, which is one of my fave horror flicks (along with Omen) for the first time in the early 1990s, as a young man, in a run down 'video theatre' and being seriously scared. When I saw the film the second time some 10 - 12 years later, at home, I got bored in the first 15 - 20 minutes & actually started doing something else, while the family continued to enjoy the movie, which they were viewing for the first time!

go and watch hollywood movies or some useless repetitive love story then and no-one is forcing their views here. This is a social place and those who truly like horror movies would opine positively about this movie.
God knows where these so called critics come from. Want to use all those horrible-sounding expletives for that so called intellectual Raja Sen. All the reviews that one reads in the newspapers, sees on web sites and television are all influenced. Everbody and everything in India can be bought.
Source Code that was given 5 stars by TOI is not at all a great movie. It is just an average movie. One sincere request to all you movie buffs, please ignore all these expert reviews. Come to your own conclusions, don't get mislead by all these crap reviews.

No tensions. We're Indians, and we know well, everything from the job of Union Communications Minister (Source Code: Nira Radiaa!) to Film Reviews to Film Awards can be 'fixed'. I think rediff bloggers, or at least myself, don't make any decisions based on these reviews. This forum is just to have some fun and move on.
see the movies and judge it for yourself.if you can sit through them and enjoy give your own ratings.screw these reviewers.each one has his own entertainment preference.
Guys we all have a problem to be carried away with these 2 aanaa filmi journalists who demand couple of lakhs per star rating...why can't we just abandon these lot of newly created species calles 'critics' ,preeti n raja n so on....let them find a better job to earn livlihood. Coming back to the movie....I saw this flick and b'live me its worth every penny,3 D effects are of hollywood standards, just that its a bollywood movie these guys wudn't have got alms so they writing bad abt movie.....GO FOR HAUNTED,......GO OPPOSITE TO REDIFF'S WRITERS B'LIVE ME U'LL THANK ME AS I ALWAYS GO OPPOSITE THE REDIFF WAY AND ENJOY ALL THE MOVIES WHICH THEY UNDERRATE....CHEEEERS!
