The well-built Bob Christo's mere screen presence was electrifying enough to create a situation for a cinematic-fight in which Bob always remained the pathetic punching bag for the chocolate heroes, who were no comparison to him in physique in real life. But, Bob stoically underwent the entire physical "trauma" and the "cinematic humiliation" for a few dollars at the hands of the Reel-life Heroes. Ironically, he did not get any exhilarating roles where he was supposed to bestow any performance. Probably, his fair skin and the excellent physique were his USPs which enabled him to stay afloat in the industry of brown Sahibs. Sadly, our directors were disastrous in exploiting his acting talents. Nevertheless, the lovers of action movies will certainly be missing his bold but cameo appearances, which was an essential ingredient for the commercial cinema during his hey days.
Altough No words can really help the loss we bear, Just know that you are very close in our daily prayer.. May your soul rest in Peace We Miss you, G.Fernandes
Though a baddie in films, he was a real good man, a gem of a human in real life, a well qualified civil engineer to boot. He evoked fear and revulsion in his baddie roles in movies...he appeared in many Amitabh Bachchan movies...oh those days, movie watching was so fun and carefree...that spirit and sense of belonging is gone forever....Rest in eternal peace, Bob!! Farewell!!
