rediff missed out on Ashwini Nachapaa... sprinter and did South indian films , one of them dubbed in hindi and i guess was hit in hindi too...

Kirmani and Sandeep Pail too tried there luck with movies

greedy mo focuers little bit of talent in sports gets media hype and wanna get in 2 silver screen nd get fkd from both the arenas. ONLY IN INDIA . misfortune of my great country.

chill, it happens all the time in many countries. Or would you prefer them going into politics like actors/actresses?

An athlete's career is over around 30 or 35. But they've been in the limelight. If they get the opportunity, it is best to exploit it. Of course, many do so while they are playing and distract themselves to death. But some are focussed, Leander and Dara Singh are cases to note, and complete a career in sports before moving to other lucrative avenues.

The best of course has been Pulela Gopichand, who opened a badminton academy to impart his skills, and discovered Saina and a few other good players for INdia. But I'm sure even he had to pull some strings to even get that academy on the rails
