Lets stop dreaming and actually do something different...We are so OBSESSED with the west... Why little mermaid? Why not create our own story? WHy do we always compare ourselves with the west? EVery bollywood movie is often an imitation of the west when we should try and bring our own cinematic strengths to films...Our culture and history is so rich but we still have that slave mentality. It's sad...Recently there was an article about which Indian actors/actresses would be suited best for WESTERN MOVIE roles...WHY???? Can we not come up with orginal material that can be compared to international art and cinema? Is INDIA not good enough or are we to lazy to even try and look at our own society? Before we make a film on some great Indians, the WEST do it (Attenborough's GANDHI and danny boyles SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE)...We are ashamed at making films on INDIAN concepts and story and instead fly to Switzerland or U.S...The audience would rather watch WESTERNIZED Indian films...We are obsessed with LIGHT and FAIR skin...All T.V Shows are those that run in WESTERN countrie(Other than the regressive Saas-Bahu programs)...We really need to try and become original and stop being obsessed with the west... What the hell have they actually done for us? Indians live in a dream world and are against reality of any sort. Many of us laugh at the west for being "uncultured" but how are we any better if we keep mimicking them? Atleast they RESPECT what THEY have and In
Indian 'actress', obviously has tried till exhaustion to purge as many of her dravidian features as possible with modern day cosmetics and painstakingly identified camera angles; but as is so apparent from how she appears in photographs, purging racial features is possible only in fantasies !!!
Well said, well said. Aishwarya will suit the role of 'Sleeping Beauty' to the 'T'. Here is one actress...oops non-actress who would really be competent if she doesn't deliver the dialouges, but just look preety...oh so preety. Hey but isn't she a bit old now to be playing 'Sleeping Beuty'.. maybe the movie should be renamed as 'The Old Sleeping Beauty'.
