Request Rediff to terminate this reviewer. Black Swan is not a film in Horror Genre. Neither is a A List Star Film a "low budget art film". It's a profile of a indomitable human spirit and its struggles. I agree that MNIK, Om Shanti OM , Dabaang e.t.c.. are real Horror Movies.
get these films out of the way. this year india will be hit by a tsunami in ra.one and if anything is left, that will later on face volcano eruption in don 2. till then all these b,c,d grade films will keep wasting our time

Yes there will be great eruptions and erections and ejaculations seeing the A$$ of Gay Khan that he will be covered in thick 'tsunami'.
The black swan has never been marketed as a 'horror' movie. Unfortunately the horrors in the review can.
Three stars for this movie?? What'll you give 5 stars to? The Last Airbender??
There is no such past tense in the english language as "metamorphoses". As an english language journalist, at least press F8 on your keyboard.
Decide whether its a low budget art movie (or arthouse cinema as a cinema student terms the genre) or a drama. I'm sure you've watched Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake...
And finally, your analysis of who a best actress award should go to (Megan fox???)...Natalie Portman did MORE than just wear a "a pained expression for the bulk of this movie.". She brought the life of a Bolshoi ballerina alive because she lived it. Learned ballet for 14 months, danced two hours a day for six months, lost 20 pounds and ALL that apart, put in a magnificent performance as a bulimic disturbed highly talented ballerina. Nuances you obviously couldn't catch.
At least learn from Raja Sen, if not from Roger Ebert.

Ha..Well said..you seem to be a critic of critic. Yes, if a 'must watch' film is rated 3 stars..what should a 5 star rater be ? Buy a HD-DVD ?

I find that for rediff viewers raja sen is omnipresent as critic,i.e.-whether he writes review or somebody else people discuss about raja sen only........a great achievement for Raja sen.
