Katrina does not have the overall, Indian beauty and artiste flavour that Hema has. The upbringing, culture, her conscious and subconscious and natural response to the watching males cannever be implanted in Katrina. She will always be a "foreign" doll, having things in place just like a plastic doll.

Right, Hema was a true woman, graceful, beautiful andSexy as well. Kats too is gorgeous but should be compared with Zeenat Ras they both are identical style ladies.

Absolutely right, just as she is nowhere compared to Madhuri, Rekha, and Wahida Rehman. It is not the practised, mechanical moves of limbs that make a good dancer. Katrina cannot awaken a response as the others.

Precisely! Any film connoisseur would know that it is acting that ultimately counts, not item numbers. Katrina is comparable to Aishwarya Rai (Bacchan surname not doing any more good than earlier), Mallika, and all the other so-called red-carpet sizzlers. They are just that: item #s. Acting is a different ball game altogether. Look what happened to all those "sequels" that tried to remake old classics!
Sanjeeve Kumar(s), Deven Verma(s), Mousmi Chaterjee, Aruna Irani and not to forge the roles of Dipti Naval and yunus parvez were all brilliant. Even in the 80's if they had decided to redo the movie it could not have happened as it has originally happened. Kudos to Gulzar's direction and Shakesphere's original story.
Today's so called comedy films take so much of efforts to make the audience laugh that you laugh out of pity and becoz of the comedy.
