In context of your reference to Nolan-Flincher winning 20 years later for remaking a South Korean flick...Scorsese didn't win an Oscar for remaking a south korean film, Infernal Affairs was a Hong Kong film.

oops, sister sukanya is often reviewing on this board...not used to seeing his name, my bad.
Makr Zuckerbg is a new age Gordon Gekko? Really, Sukanya? Are you comparing the guy who's changing the middleast (however, unintentionally)as we speak to a guy who was nothing but greedy little shark?
Viewers perspectives change,Ive always been a sucker for period movies ,so was glad The kings speech walked away with the major awards .The social network was a damn good movie ,although i felt christopher Nolan was the best director on view. His inception was a masterpiece ,2 hrs of rivetting cinema ,oozing brilliance in every frame.
Regarding the authors argument that Nolan's reticence being the reason behind the lukewarm response of Academy's nominations to his film, the great Marlon Brando comes to mind! His eccentric ways and open & blatant disregard for the Academy awards was well known! Still did it stop the Academy from warming u to him?
And please! Complicated script was NOT the reason of Inception's poor show. It was mediocrity! Pulp Fiction was far more complicated than Inception. That didn't prevent it from getting nominations!
If you really know something about direction, you wont have the atrocious idea of Nolan getting a nomination. Inception is his worst work till date. Regarding TSN, except critics, everyone hated it! I was really happy that it got what it deserved and what it didn't! I am glad that atleast in the Acedamy, 'Common Sense' still prevails, which sadly most of the film talkers donot!
Suparn I completely agree with you. I am waiting for your next film. I hope it will be as good as Ek Haseena Ek Khiladi and Acid Factory. Your films rock !
