why the hell rediff never recognise vyjayanthimala as one of the best bollywood actress ever!! she is best in dance, comedy, interpreting her role into the audience heart!! danno from gunga jumna, radha from sangam and the ultimate madhumathi from madhumathi!! she rocks!! if nanditha, sadhna is there why not include her!! i can bet to everyone that she is better actress than nutan & waheeda with proved by her films!! she should be no. 2 or no.3 in the list nothing below that!! rediff please do not take this type of poll without seriously!! always try to look toward the actress who made bollywood to this level like vyjayanthimala bali!!

Vyjanthi should be ther, i guess. Not sure about Nandita but you undermined Sadhana. Though for a short period she was no. 1. 5 of her movies are listed in all time top 50 manoey makers.She is remembered among all time fashion icons.And she was not just a glamours doll but gave female oriented successfull movies.

sorry for that sadhana is a great actress too but vyjayanthimala also had some greatest hits sangam, ganga jumna was the biggest hit in 1960..then madhumathi, nagin but thats not a big deal she should be considered in the next list!! fine both of them..:)
Rekha, Madhuri Dixit, Smita Patil, Meena Kumari, Nutan are clear choices. Sadhana is also a smart choice. She was not only very stylish and attractive but also gave brilliant performances - more than just a glamour girl.

very well captured. Meena Kumari was great face of her time. Sadhana was very attractive and fashion icon with couple of female dominated films. Smita was very appealing and great actress.
This is superb list. Hats off to audience for coming up with a great list. Though Nandita could be replaced by Dipti Naval or even Konkona and Sadhna by the great Madhubala. Madhuri Dixit, Nargis and Waheeda Rehman has to be the best of the bests.
