i challenge those fabricated reviews on movies, they say this movie has done more business than sholay n is the top grosser in revenue. but they conveniently forget to say that sholay had tkt rates of say rs 20 n these films r charging 200 rs, so even if the viewers r just 20% of ppl, still it vl fetch double the revenue of sholay!!!
mr. mukul has rightly told that film making is very costly affair. to make average hindi movie it takes not less than 25-30 cr. where will the young talent go for sucess in film industry. Even though top star's films are continuously doing worst performance then also their prices are soaring. I would request cinema owners to give discount in the tickets rates for small movies so as to promote them better than large budget movie the way some multiplexes did for marathi movies thanks to the efforts of MNS. but then also they are not promoting these movies on prime time. Film making is now not for young talented producers and directors but it is for corporate who understand absolutely nothing about movies.
i really apreciate the thought given by mr. mukul.
Nice to see a young producer speaking straight from his with hard hitting facts about Bollywood. Most of the films lack even a shred of logic and what are being dished out are violent, slapstick, amateur and lewd themes under the garb of wholesome entertainment! Of course, there are some exceptions. But in general, this is true. As Mukul points out, public is to blame as well for spending their money on this mindless entertainment.
