I liked the trailer. Hundred times better than Salman Khan's "Ready". Nothing against Saif, but unfortunately he does not suit in this role. He is too sophisticated to be a SC professor. Ajay Devgan would have been a better choice.
Thank you Mr. Jha for making sensible, social movies.

I agree with you..............Ajay Devgan or for that matter even Aamir Khan would have made a much better choice than Saif Ali Khan. Saif looks a little too posh and ill suited for the role.

Anyday movies like these are preferred. Looking at the garbage Salman Khan is making, this movies should be treated very preciously.

not so effective without ajay devgn!
by girish on Jun 11, 2011 01:03 AM

saif looks like a joker in this role!! he can't even pronounce pure hindi words properly!! prakash jha has tasted success only with Ajay!! Devgn's intensity is clearly missing in this movie!! even Amitabh can't save it!!

finally a movie which addresses the relevant issue of reservations, though i hate deepika i will still watch the movie bcoz of the relevant issue it takes up.finally there is a movie which clearly articulates the need for reservations and social justice.though jha's rajneeti was a good movie,it could not give any message as such.hope he gets his point across well in this movie.

Jha should have taken Bihar's backdrop
by Murli Devi on Jun 10, 2011 09:30 PM

All the power punch movies from Jha: Mrityudand, Gangajal and Apaharan, were smashing and boiling with power. One big factor to this was Bihar's bacdrop and Bihari accent of dialogue delivery, which made every frames of these movies simmering and explosive. However, Aarakshan looks a bit lacking compared to previous movies of Jha. Few apparent reasons are: Lack of Bihar backdrop and instead pure Hindi dialogues taking away the firebrand, absence of Ajay Devgun, as we were addicted to see this guy in combo pack with Jha. both of them should work together as the end result will be always beneficial for both. How one can forget the set starcast of typical Jha movie: Devgun, Ayub Khan, the guy who was politician and Apaharan and Raajneeti, Mukesh Tiwari, Akhilendra Mishra. One added thing is that this movie has got the Great Bachchan, and performance of Saif is also looking good. Hope this movie set the mood of nation on fire just like previous movies of Jha did with Apaharan and Gangajal.
