He was 96yrs. old.So death was not entirely unexpected.He was a controversial person as he was a creative Soul. Lohiajiwas hisardent asdmorer, and persuaded him to picturise indian cultural texts like Mahabharat , that hedid in early Sixties. Sometime he fell foul withhindutva votaries for hisunorthodox representation of hindu Deities like Saraswati or Durga, He also as a simple hearted artist represented Indira as Durga thelion riding Goddess, that was taken by his critics as sycophancy in period of 1975 Eemergency! All said we cannot expect dull uniformity in a creative Spirit like Hussain. He shall be great with all his faults,anyway
