Never in my life have I seen such a highly biased review. Would be better if the author could keep in mind that it's a Tamil movie afterall. You aren't here to praise "I am Sam" ,you should have at least seen this as a simple tamil movie. Hats off... You have really done a great job trying to highlight the 'so-called' negatives of a simple yet nice film ,thereby spoiling its very cause.
So,I would rather stay away from REDIFF in the future (as far as 'INDIAN' film reviews are concerned )
The moview touches the movie watcher's innermost chord, indeed!. Cant remember when was the last time a movie of this class came across India, not just tamizh!
The reviewer, for sum unknown reason, has written a very unfair and biased review!
Good review, pavithra. We need more reviewers like you, then only copycat directors like Vijay, Shankar, mysskin, saran would be kick off from Tamil Film Industry. Hats off to you.

we don't bother if it is copy or not... its really a master piece...and I experience the great feel of a movie after a long time..... Vikram-Vijay's hard work got recognized with the response from mass of audience......
so either rediff/Or you can't stop the succes of this film....

How can you say like that? Director Vijay shamelessly claim this as his own story. So, you support and encourage these kind of thieving swines of Tamil Film Industry. Tamil Film industry will never ever grow. Masterpiece???? songs, dances, comedy tracks and poured too much tear-jerking sentiMENTAL crap. You call this masterpiece.

Copy cat or not everyone in the crew worked hard for the movie so appreciate it. It is not easy as ctrl c and ctrl v. Totally the movie is awesome and movie is far better than the orginal " I am Sam " Deivathirumagal story is slightly different storyline only plot is same.
Rediff,I am sorry, I had lot of respect for your reviews but lost everything thing after reading this review formalized under the hangover of “I am Sam” .
For others, the following review is biased or this movie is not to be Reviewed, as it has to has to be experienced. My synopsis of review would be, It's wonderful movie made with lot of clarity and commendable performances, other aspects are inexplicable as it directly touches the heart :)
I request rediff to review this movie once again from someone else who haven’t inhaled Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)to escape tear jerking moments or got 90% indigenous intelligence on our film fraternity. Also, please don’t compare our films with foreign ethnicity. Sorry Pavitra, If I have been harsh as you are with Deiva Thirumagal.

Whether movie is masterpiece or not, but where is honesty? Director AL Vijay shamelessly says that this movie's story as his own. As a true Tamilian, i should ignore this piece of stolen shit.
We are not asking you to compare this movie with I am sam. Do the review as a Tamil movie. Otherwise do not do review anymore. I dont know how many have seen I am sam in Tamil Nadu.
