Like Raja Sen for Hindi, looks like we have one for Tamil who is really biased at the review
For people who have not see I am Sam this movie is as good as any other world class movies or even better. It was disappointing to that the reviewer has given just 2.5 stars
Aaranya Kaandam was a worldclass film, Katradhu Thamizh some years back was a worldclass film, but you people miss those films and consider this crap as worldclass, it's hurting!

noone said it worldclass... they're angry bcos she berated a movie bcos it was a "inspired" one...without considering the effort put in by d director and other stars

What the hell its not his own story what effort could he possibly done. Katradu tamizh and I am Sam were originals and they are gems in the movie industry but Deiva thirumagal is a duplicate it wont last long!!
For once Pavithra is absolutely right! She has hit the nail on the head. "I am Sam" itself was a pathetic film, this one even more. Everyday there are humans dying somewhere, go and cry for those people, not for some heavily inspired film, all you people. One time watch just for Vikram's performance if at all, which too is not original. Grow up, dudes!

The irony here is u r pathetic for not appreciating "I am Sam" i dont even know whether u actually saw I am Sam!!
I have not seen the movie, but the promos and the songs. Vikram may be acting good, but its not a challenge for him to do such role, so nothing great in this and overall this should be a silly stuff and waste of time.

You are underdeveloped we are saying the truth but i guess you people dont have a thing called brain to understand, its a shameless remake of i am sam!!
When kamalhassan or mani ratnam remake an english movie,they hail it as a faithful rendition of the original,masterpiece blah blah..
when a new director does,they call him copy-cat....I'd seen both "I am Sam" and "Deiva Thirumagal".. yes,some of the scenes are copied,but overall,the director ws able to strike a chord among the audience and this movie was more enjoyable than the hollywood version to the indians...He didnt make a scene-by-scene copy like Jayam Raja or he made a badly cooked up movie like Vamanan or Virudhagiri
If u look at many kamal and mani ratnam's movie,they were copied from hollywood I cant remember all just a few Soorasamhram-Witness Nayakan-godfather vikram-James bond vetrivizha-bourne series anbe sivam-planes,trains and automobiles apoorva sagothargal-corsican brothers....
I'll add as I remember,though these are copied,I still liked them......

"Vetrivizha" was not copied from Bourne Series. Vetrivizha was released sometime in Early 90s or late 80s and Bourne Identity in 2002. Both of them are from a novel "Bourne Supremacy". "Corsican Brothers" is about the story of siamese twins separated and each feeling the others emotions. It was released in 1941 and not sure u would have seen it. Apoorva Sagotharargal does not deal with Siamese twins. "Vikram" is a James Bond kind of a movie. It is not copied from "James Bond" as you have mentioned. I agree with some of the other movies. Just dont try to dump half known information from here and there. Know all facts before writing something.

i agree with balaji ganesh. there are indeed other movies of kamal that are straight lifts like Tenali - what about bob, Avvai shanmughi - mrs. doubtfire, Sadhileelavadhi - She Devil, etc.,

What about the CRAPPY movie ENDIRAN? It is a pathetic copy of iROBOT and people claim that bull shit director Shankar as great!!!
