I am no fan of Madhur Bhandarkar...his movies are quite overrated.
But what Ash did is really unprofessionally. If she knew she was preggy, she shouldn't have let the Production House announce at Cannes that she is the leading lady.
When she discovered, she should have told the Production House in person....again, unprofessional of her to let them learn through the media.
I think she wanted the world to go gaga over "look she gave up movies for family" the way Kajol did, but it backfired badly.
How can the Bachchan family expect the Production House to be silent on this matter??

Come on dude!! that means if one gets pregnant while working at a company..they should fire/release her from job..? or the company should adjust the work & have someone take the load ..?
It is simple...if you want the best lady in universe to work for you so that you can get free publicity and make more money....than it is better to adjust to her schedule, if not go get someone.
Getting sucked into materialistic world without any emotions!

For every company the person is an investment. Army has a no pregnancy clause while employing women. Obv pregnant women cannot carry out heavy task of Army.
But here the main issue is - 1. Hiding about your pregnancy and 2. Not telling in person and letting the person figure out about the news.

SS Li Na is absolutely spot on. The production's concern is not Ash getting pregnannt, but keeping it secret at their expense. Amitabh is throwing his weight behind Ash with a poor argument probably makes emotional sense, but is hardly rational.
When You announced 'Heroine', I had requested you not so cast this lady (check my comments on rediff).. I was not aware of her pregnancy but still.. Anyways.. now you can sign Sneha Ullal who not only resembles Aish but can act better thn her..
Abhi and Ash should have planned this. The fact that Ash tried to hide her pregnancy when she knew that she will start to look like a cow in a few months' time is plain greed. Did she seriously expect to go through shooting a film like Heroine while being pregnant? But then maybe she though she had gas problems.
Film making requires lot of money. Knowing this and being from the same industry Ash should have informed Madhur Bhandarkar about her pregnancy. These are moral ethics. To say she was not aware of her pregnancy is wrong.

In fact abhishek should have informed madhur earlier.. !!!! PPle say bollywood is open now a days to everythng..so they shld have been open even to this...but who knows abhishek was bored to death telling the same everyear to all the directors who wud cast aish,bt nothing happened...unfortunalty wen madhur thgt in the same way,it took a reverse turn on him...
