Ticket cost should be less
by prashob prem on Jul 05, 2011 10:10 PM  | Hide replies

The problem here is not just the direction & cast the problem is the cost of the tickets. Heard that in North the tickets cost more than 200. I am a movie freak but still i will never go for a movie that cost around 200 instead i will watch it in the net itself.
The good thing the goverment did in Tamil nadu is 120 should be the maximum ticket rate that too only in multiplex that means we have choice either go to the multiplex or single screens. As far I know the PVR in chennai is superb whichever movie is running its falls under decent crowd even though the ticket rate is 120. So its better people in other places need to seriously thingk about ticket cost.

Why Fasicists and Right-Wings cannot make ART?
by Ahamed on Jul 05, 2011 09:30 PM  | Hide replies

@praveen kumar and amit gupta

What do you mean by "Minority appeasement" and "sickularism" with regards to
"Box Office Report Card: The Biggest Flops so far".

Can you explain more.

also one more thing.

Do you watch a movie or art with religious prejudice or artistic content.

Also I need to ask one more thing.

Why Fasicists and Right-Wings cannot make any ARTISTIC ExPRESSION?
Or
WHY Right-Wingers HATE ART?
Or
Why there is a no Quality ART from Gujrat

Finally Somebody Gets it Akki's films have nothing to offer
by Priya Rangarajan on Jul 05, 2011 09:22 PM  | Hide replies

I don't understand what's wrong in admitting the truth.

None of Akki's films make any sense.
They are over the top in storyline
Have nothing to offer in terms of social message or anything.

Akki things, anything will fly with the audience however, the priyardarshan days are over and Akki is back to his series of flops.

Also, TMK was anything but good not to mention no SRK magic. Not that I like SRK..just two of his films Darr and Chak De. The rest are forgettable.

And..there is absolutely no creativity in any of these films.

And after all this...he wanted a Film Fare Akki! what were you thinking???

Priya - according to you what qualifies as quality cinema in Bollywood? The high-school drop out impostering as an intellectual like Aamir? An anti-national, steroid gorilla Salman, or the overtly insecure paki SRK? Do you think that Delhi Belly is a cult classic as some moronic filthy Indians are going gaga about?

Who is this unknown cowardly stupid reporter
by Vedprakash Sharma on Jul 05, 2011 08:30 PM  | Hide replies

spreading venom against Akki! The paiKhan eaters at Rediff and other filthy Indian media have been single mindedly spreading venom against him! Spit on their ugly unknown faces! Thank You garnered 42 crores in just 1 week of run. Is it a flop? Patiala house was hailed by critics as one of Akki's best performances(check your own reviews, moronic reporters at rediff!). The movie was made at a modest 25 crores and went onto make 40 plus crores. Still a flop? Rediff is not the universe! Intelligent readers haev access to lots of other credible sources of information!

Don't try to spread misinformation about Akki! You try to make even a non-acting, owl looking, flop masyter Imran a great actor! Stop eating paiKhana to the gills!

Why
by Praveen Kumar on Jul 05, 2011 08:02 PM

Why wouldn't they be flops?

They all have the same old faces, same pathetic formula scripts and same music.

It costs an average of Rs. 2000 for a family 4 to go to the movies.

Why would anybody in their right mind waste Rs. 2000 for something that is streaming for free into their TV sets?

Rediff's bias shows.Thank you , DMD are hits and even Patiala House recovered its cost.On the contrary you showed Dhobu ghat as hit which was a super flop.same with dil to bachcha hai jee which was trashed by people all around. c'mon, show some objectivity rather than writing all pre paid reviews and bo results to please ceertain section of media managing filmstars.
