Peepli Live was an amazing film but i feel udaan would hav been a more btter choice..Already being in Cannes it is poetically brilliant (Kash Dhobi Ghaat release hota in 2010 as that was the apt choice..not only did dhobi ghaat shine in Toronto film festival, got to read from critics outside india raving bout the new techniques used in the film)

I am with you.Peepli live was an Overhyped movie.It ran only because of aamir khan banner& so made money
Peepli live was an ok movie. Direction was amazingly good....the movie began really well, but what let the movie down is the extent of exaggeration. I don't think anyone with a half a brain cell will show someone's shit as a new piece. Things like these made it into a nonsense movie, which fails to sensitise indians about the problem of farmers.
But it's a great job by Anusha Rizvi. But NO, the movie was not Oscar material.
couldnt sit through even half an hour... still our even more pathetic media praised it to no end. cant we find a single reliable media source ? even mnik was priased and given 4-5 stars..and raking in the awards also..there is no credibility anywhere..best would be watch movies at home and decide for yourself.cant rely any more as no one is reliable.
one word pathetic..thanks to aamir's marketing skills the movie made it..else it would have failed miserably.whenever he makes good movies he hardly does any marketing..but if the movie is pathetic he makes sure marketing does the rest - 3 idiots, ghajini were not the best movies still marketing got them through..however, a tzp,rdb great movies with hardly any marketing turned out to be great..as far as dhobi ghat is concerned, the marketing has been on and off..so wait and watch seems the best option
