Through 'Peepli Live' - the satirical take on the Indian media and farmer's suicide is somethign we tell something negative of our country & system. Though that is true, that put India in a bad light. Film makers should show something positive with human values and, that would surely own OSCAR.

i always see people are against to showcase or to accept reality. to accept something which is wrong or negative and to showcase itself is positive.
good! stupid cheap and obscenic movie like Peepli Live is out of oscars final list. The film has no merit ; it was only lobbying of Aamir Khan which made it sent from India over RAAJNEETI - real good movie, class , true representative of Indian electoreal politics, based on epic Mahabharata, hugely commercial successful and superlative performances from Ranbir Kapoor, Manoj Bajpai, Nana Patekar & Katrina Kaif.
Aamir Khan always spins out trash movies like 3 idiots, Peepli Live and even Lagaan was over-hyped.
He should stop lobbying and only best movie should be nominated from India, which really holds a good chance.
Why we even worry about oscars? It is our taste for our audience. Why we want international recognition. Mila to mila nahi to nahi. I watched Band baja baaraat the other day and have to say that is the best movie i watched in terms of desi emotions. That movie will be ignored by filmfare too because it does not have big names but according to me that movie is complete entertainer from last year. Don't you all think we have our own taste, our own dress code, our own set of masala and our own kind of emotions. We are Indians and let us be proud of that and make this country a better place and avoid corruption so that we can save billion people and make our lives heaven. Just think about it. Younger generation will change India soon. We all will make goras jealous of us in the near future you will see.
Pipli Live was good original movie. Not sure it was world class but one of the best Indian movies. and miles ahead of stupid jokes like Rajneeti and Dabang. But why worry for oscars which are themselves a joke with duds like No country for old men and Departed (scene by scene copy of korean film) get awards. Sandra Bullock is called best actress and Slumdog gets 8 of them.

you are right.. but peepli doesnt deserve oscar at all. its a mockery at the plight of the farmers and without a moral. I hated the movie like anything. Lagaan was the real oscar winning movie. but since we showed the whites downgraded, we didnt get it. On second thoughts y was not 3 idiots nominated for oscars. its a gem of a movie

"No country for old men' a dud ! Wow, you got great taste man ! congrats. And Departed was an he acknowledged remake of a korean film. not stolen like filmakers in out chorland would have done. And the oscars are way beyond the understanding of the ordinary mortals of chorland. only a enlightened few like Aamir and other passionate, creative filmakers know their value, for others, its just oscar ? kilo kitna types. go back to dabangg loser.

DO you think the movies that win oscars are better what we make in terms of story and storytelling. did Slumdog deserve that many oscars and Avataar not so many. Oscars I believe is overhyped joke

Its beyond your understanding or your intelligence. dont post. it makes you look even more foolish.
IF Hollywood Director directed the movie then it will get Oscar. They gave Oscar to "Slum dog..." not because of its good story. They gave because Holloywood director shoot the film in poor and dirty area. To appreciate his tolerance, they gave Oscar. Other wise "Salam Bombay" was better film them Slum Dog.
