It was awesome to see Jim parsons get the golden globe today. He is doing an extraordinary job in big bang theory and it was great to see him win that against some of the stalwarts like alec baldwin and steve carel. he truly deserves it. The only Bazinga was inception not getting the best screenplay :-)

Oh by your standard, Alexandre Desplat, Danny Elfman and Hans Zimmer also gave substandard music to their respective movies? To win an award is one thing. But to get nominated among top musicians in the world is truely remarkable in itself. I wonder if you ever had or will have chance yourself.

It is all imgaination.Whole world knows how awards are given.Does not mean whoever gets or gets nominated for these American awards are great and that whoever in India who have not got the chance or luck are by no means inferior.

Whatever you might say,one cannot be blindfolded and presume that whomever you have mentioned have given substandard music and A.R.Rehman has given better music than them.Forget English movies. Look at Ravanan,Robot,music at CWG. That shows the consistency and falling standards.

social network is better than inception. But I felt 127 hours music is quite different than other scores

Tarlenanmaga was right. In terms of screenplay, social network is not even remotely near to what inception is. May be it deserves the best direction but screenplay it shud have gone to nolan. Inception script is an almost impossible to direct. and original score to social networking ? i expected hans zimmer to get it !
