He only does background score. songs by vishal shekar. now we can see how rahman does it. he did for an hollywood movie.but an hollywood scorer cannot do it in bollywood. or otherwise producers dont feel it will be wise to put zimmer for songs in bollywood

In Tamilnadu there is an actor, some of his movies were considered to send to Oscar by only Indian committee, so he and his fans thought he won the oscar and after that he was called Oscar Nayagan. But out ARR had won two Oscars, and still he is very polite and still morons are throwing stones on him.

It is nothing to be proud of or no one thought that whomever you mentioned won an oscar. It was about the acting skills for which he was highly praised. Moreover,6 of his movies was sent to oscars.Since they were in Indian languages,it had to be sent in only foreign language category. Otherwise,as an actor,he is the best actor in India and he could have probably won oscars had he got chance to act in Hollywood. Coming back to this Oscar awards, Rehman did not get an award for any movie of Indian language but for a movie taken in English from a British director. Whole world knows why that award was given. So better do not think you are too intelligent and better shut your mouth.

Even if the oscar was given for a indian film sent in the foreign category, rahman wont get the award even if he had composed the music for the film. "kamal could 've won oscars had he got chance to act in h'wood.." thats the best joke of the century. What role will he fit in the h'wood movies... a brahmin claiming he is aryan race..?

Being nominated for the Gloden Globes, TWICE in a row, by itself is a phenomenal achievement. And let the morons also know that the appreciation that real "indian music", which is hindustani and carnatic classical, in the west, is FAR more than what they get in this country of hooligans, Infact, most of the exponents of classical music earn their bread by performing abroad, not in "hooliganland" ! ARR should just migrate to the west, this country simply does not deserve him. Pritam and company are enough for the barbarian hordes here. he he he.

By the way,there are many music directors from India who have not yet got any golden globe or those oscars but are still greater than A.R.R.So, better stop insulting our music directors,Mr.Literate.

Buddy,I am not from Kerala but kindly do not underestimate people from Kerala and make a joker of urselves.Better try to be humble in making such remarks.I am sure even any illiterate knows that Kerala is the state having the maximum literacy.People there are well educated,very focussed and knowledgeable.Apart from surviving well in middle east or gulf, they do well in US/UK as well in the IT industry. Remember, Malayalam movies are thought provoking and intellectual movies.They do not claim that silly perfectionist or the best trademark like what Bollywood does. They have lot of good movies not enough time to name it and also very good quality actors. Ur commenting on Mallu songs which are more based on our Carnatic music and the God's own land which has gems like Yesudas Ji.Kindly do not write something silly without having the facts straight.Western music is nothing great when compared to Carnatic music.

The music was widely applauded.. If I Rise is a great song. The fact that it was given nomination itself means its recognized. Also it got the critics award already. Rahman has made us proud. Most definitely.
