Congrats Vijay for acting in a different kind of film.Whether it is a hit or not,it is a film that will be remembered by both Vijay and non-Vijay fans alike.The last 30 minutes of this film shows the class of director Siddhique.
raktha charithram(cloud nine),man mathan ambu(red giant),aadukalam(sun pictures) all are flops.kavalan hit. no place for polititions in film industry, directors and writers are the real hero's. distributers are just like mama pasanga,they are only able to delaying the release of other movies

who said Aadukalam is a flop.....go and watch first..Aadukalam is awesome movie..... Kavalan also a nice decent moview....Siruthai is one of the worst film , I ever watched......full of kuppai masala....

Rakht Charitra may be a flop in TN, but it was a HIT in Andhra. Our tamil audience STILL havent reached the maturity and wont accept a film with no comedy, songs, or any other typical tamil flavouring. As for MMA, it was NOT a flop, and managed to be an above average. Aadukalam is also not a flop. in fact, even in Chennai, it has been grossing more than Kaavalan. Overall pongal winner was Siruthai, and that also had no cloud 9, sun pictures nor red giant. so now, you're just being a hypocrite.
1,Adukalam - very good screenply., danush acting was superb., Simply excellent movie., 2, Kavalan - Vijay turned into normal., Screenply-average, Comedy-average., Overall - average... 3, Siruthai - screenply - wrost., comedy - good (but not fit for the story)... only masala., Overall - below average., 4, elangan - Not to tell anything (but one can appreciate for kalainger's writing this kind of story at this age.,)...

is it a movie suitable to get national award. can you compare this movie with national award winning movie.
this is Honest rEVIEW...Kaavalan is Good...viJAY HAS BROKE HIS pREVIOUS FORMULAS AND SHINED IN THIS FILM...HE IS BACK TO HIS OWN PATH....gOOD ACTING ...ITS A WONDERFUL LOVE STORY WITH COMEDY...THE CLIMAX IS UNEXPECTED AND THE CLIMAX TWIST AND THE ARTISTS DONE SO GOOD IN CLIMAX....ALL THE BEST mR. VIJAY....CONTINUE THE SAME AND GO AHEAD WITH THIS KIND OF GOOD STORY FILMS...IT MAY BE ROMANTIC OR ACTION OR COMEDY..IT SHUD BE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER FILMS..THATS WAT ALL TAMIL PPLS ARE EXPECTING....ALL THE BEST FOR YOUR FUTURE FILMS....sure good hearted ppls and lovers will cry at climax...i've not cn siruthai...but aadukalam oly 1st half ok...2nd half is mokkai....Kaavalan superb...its a romantic family entertainer....u can c a type of vijay as u cn in love today,kadhaluku mariyadhai and friends etc.....Kavalan is nice and sure u can c as a family.....

vj is always gr8...kavalan super...decent family entrtainer...a fresh vijay in kavalan..not like sura,vetaikaran,sivakasi etc...no action mass n masala...soft romantic entertainer....climax is gr8...soft hearted ppls and lovers will sure drops tears in climax...
