Please Don't compare Ilaiya Raja with any body. He should have given Oscar for his BGM and songs for film 'Naan Kadavul'. Though i agree ARR is a great music director, he don't deserve Oscar for Jai Ho.
Just because one conducts a live show does that mean it is rahman's copyrighted thing?? rahman is not the first person to do live shows. He is just another person. Yuvan is doing his bit & he is good at what he does. Yuvan is consistent unlike rahman who tries to give better music for goras or people with big dosh! Yuvan is an original unlike many others! Go Yuvan!!

Although I am not a tamil..but technical excellence started from Tamil movies..later those technicians moved to Hyderabad and Mumbai. Remember Mani Ratnam was the one started directing different kind of movies which inspired others in Bollywood later. Decades back Chennai was the film capital for Telugu and Kannada movies..Ghajini and few other movies in Hindi are remakes of Tamil movies..Its not abt whether Tamil or Hindi movies..at the end of the days it is only good or bad movie irrespective of any language
Look at all the fools arguing about who is best. If you are a true music lover, you like good songs by any one, even if they are making music in the rice fields. And Yuvan makes good songs. Rahman is irrelevant when talking about Yuvan. And Yuvan is irrelevant when talking about Rahman. They both hold on their own terms.

Yuvan is brilliant BGM composer than even IR. He is one of unique music composer who can compose both modern and folk style songs just like IR. I think, he will cross every body in songs composing soon. Yuvan is still young and long way to go for reach wider audience and appreciation from international level. I think, he already signed Mani ratnam production's hindi film and untitled Sony English album which may get release in 2011. He also composing youth song of India for Abul kalam lyrics which will get released soon. My best wishes to Yuvan.
