Re: Heroines

We have few good new Tamil heroines made there debut last 2 year. The problem is they are not as fair (im not talking about beauty) as telugu, Kerala or Mumbai girls...
This makes them not a fit for posh or commercial movies. They do well in films where u need good acting and a bit of realistic story like myna, etc...
Being a kannadiga i congratulate Tamilans for having successful film industry and vibrant culture that you can call your own.... You guys respect your way of life more than any other indians and you protect it... good tamil film industry is the sign of thriving tamil way of life..

Hi sidda - what is there to be proud .. i hope you were joking..Tamil industry today is owned by DMK family. Marans, Stalins, Alagiris are the ones who make the calls. Its a family business. One good thing is they own production, distribution, choose the actor / actresses but don't mess with stories...which will happen soon. Once their rule is over, they will start making stories that will show the ruling party in bad light. This had happened earlier when MGR was CM...Karunanidhi's stooges making movies like Vijay's dad, T.Rajender made many movies showing MGR and ADMK in poor light...but today after 10 years of Congress rule with DMK, they have beaten all records of bribery, property posession, industry encroachment (movie, Cable, Land mafia)

@Patriot, I wasn't commenting on makers of Tamil films, but on viewers and the support base the Tamil film industry enjoys. It's unfortunate if few people (especially politicians) become too powerful and control an industry... I believe, for historical reasons Tamil film industry became successful. Example, not allowing Hindi Imposition.
If Siiddique repeats his "Body guard" Magic, then Kavalan will be a huge flop. Because, it was a huge flop in Malayalam also. Even the die hard Dileep fans (as if he has, other than kids!) will accept it was a flop movie

bodyguard was a good film. It was not the same genre of siddique comedy movie. its more into romance side, This made the people had a feel that what not expected. But most of the people liked it. see, the same movie is coming in hindi with salman khan directing by siddique itself. Even though im not vijay fan, but im sure body guard will be a hit.

Yes supposed to BE, but now some malayalam films are behaving like tamil movies losing its originality. Lack of stories and good actors whereas Tamil industry is experimenting new themes and ideas, their longevity be great. Now days Tamil actors are acting in malayalam movies to save the industry what a shame on Mollywood

Malayalam movies are creative agree but please note, tamil movie trend has changed. creativity is definitely at peak now in tamil industry . See Maina, Nadodigal, subramanya puram, angadi theru. i dont think malayalam movies depicts the real life of people on the street
