Why?

The more i see news items such as these i realise that the quality of programming as gone dowm tremendously. Back in the day we used to have 'some' Saas-bahu dramas, and some good shows like Bharat Ek Khoj etc. Now it seems that television is dominated by soap operas ( useless, meaningless ones at that, in the name of sanskar)and horror of horror, reality shows such as these. Is this what we want our children to grow up watching? Not to mention the mind numbing intelligence- grabbing serials that force housewives, inlaws etc to it like drug addicts in front of the TV night and day waiting for their next fix.

It looks utter nonsense, if someone says "Getting married was my childhood dream".. Everyone is getting married, there is nothing to be dream about it. Yes, if you would ve said getting married a billionaire, a huge successful cricketer, or movie superstar then I understand. It is merely a stupid line, who did not even think twice before telling this.

And, it is correct, you can't expect a good thing from these cheap publicity and horrible show on TV.

I am still thinking how someone's dream is so horrible.. She did not ve a dream about her parents nor society nor about her career but yes..to marry on a cheap publicity and within 6 months.. get screw up, and come again on TV channel. ThisisKaliYUG

Dear Ratan Rajput,
Marriage is important in one's life
But there is more to life than just being someone's wife.

There are these wonderful things called hobbies, one of which is reading, helps the mind actually!Being a wife should not be the ultimate goal in a woman's life when she can be so much more than that.. What about having aspirations of being well educated , having a good career etd?
