by Reena Goel It's okay to sell a movie with Katrina or mallaika cavorting suggestively though, is it?
Why take everything so seriously Mr. Sen. PR and Marketing have changed a lot in the last few years. Rani is just having to keep up with the trend. At least she's trying to make it fun. What can she keep saying about the movie that we haven't heard in the last few weeks - a lightness is what is needed and i'm sure she is promoting hard because that is what the producers expect from her. Perhaps it will also ensure that people actually come and watch the movie.
As for Vidya "playing along" and her "star being on the rise". Do you have some sort of mandate from her. Are you her counsel? Or could it be that she is just too boring to do anything else? Rani could play all of Vidya's past and future roles with a greater aplomb than Vidya.
If Vidya's star's on the rise than why isn't she doing movies with big male stars. Vidya only has the range for serious roles- Rani's done the lot!
It is safe to assume from your language and dismissive tone that Rani will not be getting a favourable report once you see NOKJ and that Vidya will get all the plaudits! If it makes you feel better, Mr. Sen, who can deny you such small luxuries. After all as a journalist you can twist anything to serve your point of view.

there was a time when mouth to mouth publicity was enough to make any movie hit and generating interest among people to go theater and watch movie. But now a days all it is media hype, controversy,, TV promo etc etc.
in the name of comeback this actor actress will do anything ?
Rani Mukherjee, the actress does not have any competition. Kareena kapoor, priyanka chopra, katrina kaif combined are not half as good as Rani. Where Rani lacks is the glamour department. She is not as glamorous as the ones mentioned above. The actresses mentioned above play second fiddle to the lead actors but Rani Mukherkjee is one of the few, along with Madhuri and Sreedevi, who has got more prominence and screen space than the lead actors. For example: Hum Tum
