You can't ask more for the value of your money. Its a laugh and drama riot. Fabulous acting by Kangana, Maddy, Jimmy and Dobriyal besides each of the other actor and fantastic music, dialogues and editing. Its good to look this kind of cinema. Only one critical comment on the quality of certification by Censor board. I don't know which fool has given it UA. This movie is phenomenally simple and delight to watch. Kudos....
Rarely a movie touches me. Maine Pyar Kiya, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Life is beautiful are some of them. Manu weds Tanu was also very simple story but a kind of strong undercurrent beneath. I usually don't care to know who is the real actor/actress when I watch movie, until a particular movie makes an impression on me to recognize the actor. Kangna Ranaut was such a character here. I googled up and came to know that I had seen half of her Hindi movies, yet I didn't know until this movie.
Here, she was rebellious, naughty, witty, silly. The best part of her in this movie is her dubious smile or giggle - perfectly executed to set a middle class boys heart on the sensex chart. It plays such a strong dening and adoring meaning. I thoroughly enjoy every moment in the movie, except the last bak bak dialog. And this is my first ever comment on a hindi movie :)
This movie cannot by any means be called a 'romantic-comedy' - it is actually a debased dark comedy trying to be a 'happy' movie (with the same Punjabbi wedding treatment - God am i tired of this Punjabi wedding treatment). Yes the script, editing & direction is good with good performances by preety much the main characters except it makes it a point to make the 'heroine' more like a pschyo dark damsel than a confused girl ('I am graduate of Delhi!!' - what has that to do with her foolish behaviour). Mr.Madhaavan you are way more talented to turn up in these stupid gigs with a stupid grin and self-effacing syrupy chracter - if needed stay away from main roles unless yu get something like the 3 Idiots to sink your teeth in. The worst in this movie is it seems all the characters suddenly left their self-respect - as if the Moms, Dads cant find another Boy/Girl for their kids and are hellbent on making this match made from Hell. And beeing a loner in London with nobody to come home to.. thats' the worst reason for to get married. Watch this movie only if you want to spoil your evening/night and come away with a negative irritated feeling.

Ya. Completely agree. Psycho movie and all the plot elements inserted to make it more psycho. What absurdity and how contrived is the London sequence ! While Dattu seems like a moron. Haryana athletes have far more zest for life than this pathetic character has been made to be. Surely, this is Kangna at her overacting best!
