why everyone always remembering amitabh.
by Sudhanshu on Feb 23, 2011 05:30 PM  | Hide replies

Was Amitabh used to give salaries to all the editors?......Or is it the producers of the movies who were responsible for this???......Amitabh in his capacity helped his colleagues whether A.K. Hangal recently or even fight master Shetty (his son Rohit shetty expressed this in KBC 4).......But he is not only one to be expected......How many people in the industry came to help him when he himself was going through worst times?

There should be an organization that should be made for the film technicians to help them when they retire......

Any one in his/her right ind will get a life assurance and a Private Pension regardless of which industry he/she is working.
Ask your self what will you do in your old age.
Have you made any provision to look after yourself when required.

film industry runs adhoc basis ... i doubt if there is an organized workmanship in bollywood other than organized crime. there are hardly and schemes such as PF or pension scheme because its basically anybody's show.... also due to this it had been a prey to mafia activity. if there are organized funds and welfare programmes the unit people who do all toil will be saved.

Rediff is making a big fuss about him only because he is associated with Sholay. Millions who have worked for other offices/companies/shops/farms may also be in his situation. Will rediff care to write about them ? Above all this fellow is so arrogant, looks like he is expecting big actors to dream about his miseries and come to him with help !!!

each person has their sense of prestige. Why should he bend. The world may not remember him, but he has his own rights to a dignified life, even if it was in poverty.

1. you are young, clearly

2. you have not read the article.

Your opinion holds little value currently.

Asking is good.
Ask.
That can give you knowledge.

If people dont reply even after asking, then you can shout your opinion without taint.

American News sites difference
by Devdutt Nayak on Feb 23, 2011 04:55 PM  | Hide replies

In America, they dont test people like this.

Rediff, if it were American/european, would publish the full address and Google Map on the first page of the article

and would also ask Give India to make a separate account for these elders of cinema.

Anyone knows how to go to there?

The test I am talking of is going to the Maharashtra Navnirman Chitrapat Karmachari Sena, running around their offices just to get to the one person who knows the address, who will be conveniently out of town for 15 days, by which time the issue will be stale,
and some poor enthu youth will go around Parel/Lalbaug for about 2-3 days, get nothing, lose their 2 days salary,
wonder what they did wrong to get this treatment,
and then find someone finally waking up and doing something substantial.
Alternatively, you have to talk to Amay Khopkar, Shalini Thackeray or Barrister A R Antulay.

All of them value their privacy and wont like 100 calls.

So guess how they would react.

And in the end we wont even get to meet the person and talk a few kind words to him because now he will suddenly be special and so in the care of said great benefactor who rescued him.

Again the bureaucracy.

You see, *BTDT*.

Then journalists will shout for 10 years that they always help old legends of Indian cinema.

"Journalism that produces results"

and so on.

Instead of providing the address simply.

However, when it is entrepreneurs and other elitist janta, then photos, the description of the peepal tree in front of the house, all that will also be described.

All Indians are free and equal, you see.

Amitabh is a pakka politician. He always changed his loyalties for his own benefit. from sonia to mulayam and now narendra modi. When they were in trouble he ditch them. Even he ditch actor Mehmood who helped him in his initial struggling days.
