why waste money on big celebrities and increase the cost product. Save that money and keep reasonable price than to your competitors. People have to buy there daily needed commodities so its just that corporates are fooling themselves and wasting their money on this nach gana walas.

Maybe you should advertise for these products for free instead to keep the price low. Let's see how many people will buy the product by looking at an ugly nobody like you.

@ Raju I totally agree with the view point of @malik, it is true that rather than spending hefty money on celebrity to endorse the product they can pass on that as a discount to their customers and can think of gaing more out of the volumes.
If I want to give you a simple example of Vodafone they never went ahead with the celebrity advt(except Irrfan khan) still they are able to get good visibility among their target audience, whereas airtel with the big celebrity endorsement failed might have got good eyeballs but lost on their bottom line. So it is sensible to spend wisely on advts, however advts are very important to promote any brand but do it sanely and offer value adds to their customers

I don't think they spend so much on the stars to be able to give a discount to customers based on what they save. But yes, I definitely do not buy my soap depending on whether Katrina or Ash advertised for it or not.
